The Socialists suggest incentives and bonuses for those regular users of public transport and propose actions as establishing one day to go "bike to work" or reward with season tickets to customers of local businesses

Councilman Municipal Socialist Group in the city of Murcia, Juan Vicente Larrosa, has directed this Friday an internal communication team PP government with proposals for activities and actions of awareness that could take place during the European Mobility Week, to be held from 16 to 22 September.

"If we want to promote sustainable mobility, we must implement measures to facilitate access to other means of transport, so that we also reward people who have fertilizers and use public transportation regularly, offering, perhaps, discounts or bonuses, "he added.

Other proposals of the PSOE in mobility are: ask car dealers installing booths sample of electric vehicles, perform along with driving schools in the municipality training sessions on eco-driving and increase during Mobility Week the frequency of buses.

"Some of these proposals may transcend beyond Mobility Week and become part of a Mobility Plan for the municipality. For example, hotels encourage the use of public transport and bicycle rental offering discounts to their customers. it also could reach an agreement with local businesses so that for every ten purchases in the network of affiliated stores a ticket or voucher for public transport will be given away. the latter initiative also boost consumption in our nearby shops, "added Larrosa, who is also committed to improving accessibility for people with disabilities.
