Under the title "Editum results of research at the University of Murcia the reach of society", the Library of BOE (Official Gazette) hosts until July 8 a series of activities to publicize the work of dissemination of knowledge developed by this educational institution.

On the one hand, it has organized an exhibition of the most significant works published by the University of Murcia (UMU);

forty titles that have obtained a university and social recognition, scientific and have become the most valued and demanded by readers of this imprint (Editum).

Besides the exhibition, which will run in space UNE (Union of University Editorials Spanish) of said library (Street Trafalgar, 27, Madrid), Monday through Friday from 9:00 to 20:00, and on Saturdays from 10:00 to 14:00, on July 5 will be held two conferences that will reflect on the diffusion and transmission of knowledge by Editum.

Specifically, the "Contribution of Editum to the publication and promotion of university academic book" which will deliver Sandra Isabel Souto, scientist at the Institute of History and Center for Humanities and Social Sciences (CSIC), and "The Editum Signs collection in the panorama of scientific book "by professor of the Faculty of Arts of the UMU Vicente Cervera.

That same day, after the conference, the book "Dispublicitados. The (ideological) effects of advertising", by Professor Javier García López published by Editum in your Media collection will be presented.

The University of Murcia created the Publications Service in 1975, although its publishing activity to the origins of the institution back in 1915.

Currently it has a backlist of 1,324 titles, 17 collections, 16 series and 36 scientific journals and books published outside and doctoral theses collection open.

Editum coordinator, Professor Carmen Gonzalez, said that in the selection of the works will be displayed the principles governing this editorial, which are those of the university: "specialization, scientific rigor, evaluated quality and credibility".
