"The memory of hands," the documentary film at the University of Murcia (UMU) by Alfonso Burgos Risco, continues to garner awards.
The last, the merit award recently obtained on the powerful The IndieFest.
Shortly after its release in late 2015, the film, which recounts the experiences of a group of teachers who followed the principles of pedagogy Freinet in schools in the Region of Murcia during the seventies and eighties, won prizes best feature documentary and foreign prominent feature documentary on the important Los Angeles Independent film Festival (LAIFFA) and Hollywood International Independent documentary (HIIDA), respectively.
Alfonso Burgos, audiovisual technician and collaborator of the UMU, this paper uses animation to recreate these teaching experiences not in vain, the tape is part of his doctoral thesis on documentary-animated film, a proposal that has been recognized also with the foreign film award at the Hollywood International Moving Pictures film Festival and the award for second best documentary of the month in 12 months film Festival (Romania, November 2015).
In addition, "The memory of hands" was a finalist in Los Angeles CineFest, Culver City Film Festival (California), Mica Film Festival (Brazil), The Monthly Film Festival (Glasgow, January 2016), Miami Independent Film Festival, Long Film Awards (Geneva, Switzerland) and Near Nazareth Festival, and will compete next month at the London World Film Festival and the International Film Festival fanboy.
