Espinardo campus will host tomorrow, Friday, a series of activities devoted to agroecology that the University of Murcia (UMU) has organized on the occasion of World Environment Day.
Activities will take place in the Plaza of Sustainability, where the prize will be awarded to the best plot organically grown (12:00 hours) and will be held the "Richest Tomatico" (12:30).
Throughout the morning attendees seedlings and organically grown herbs will be distributed, completed the day, at 13:00, with a healthy lunch of organic gardening products UMU.
With these actions, promoted by the environmental management system Sustainable Campus (under the Vice President of Economy, Sustainability and Health Sciences), it is intended to encourage the participation of the university community in the plots of organic farming.
Sustainable Campus will plant a tree for every participant in the campaign "fight together against climate change", in addition to overcome a lot of products between all the photos posted on the hashtag #DMMAUM.
In turn, they reward those who share a book in the library Ecocompartida, located in the Green Square Quisco Sustainability.
