The House approved a motion of PP and C`s in which the city of Murcia joins the Institutional Declaration of March 8, International Women's Day FEMP (25/02/2016)

The House has approved a motion of the Popular Party and Citizens in the city of Murcia joins the Institutional Declaration on the occasion of March 8, International Women's Day Proposed by the Spanish Federation of Municipalities of Murcia.

This proposal advocates public policies and legislative reforms that guarantee equal opportunities for men and women, social strategies and institutional practices that improve the lives of women and give visibility to their problems, as essential actions on March 8 will become evident worldwide.

For political groups who submitted the motion, it is very important that the commemoration of the eight-M we are all united, so "we have sought at all times the consensus of all the groups."

8-M is a day of claim, more if possible, the need for further progress in equality policies and to undertake whatsoever may be in favor of the rights of women in all spheres of society "they have declared .

On the occasion of International Women's Day, the City agrees to end inequality and eradicate all forms of injustice, in order to make Murcia an advanced and avant-garde city.
