The Councillor for Sports and Health, Felipe Coello, presented the Iª Carrera Popular Solidaria 'Save The Children', organized by the CEI Association for the benefit of NGOs helping children 'Save The Children' in which they participate around 500 people.
The race, to be held on Sunday 28 February in the Garden of El Malecon at 10:00, is included in the school activity 'Kilometre Solidario', in which students complete a career and contribute selflessly donate.
In appreciation of this initiative, Save The Children appointed College CEI 'Center Ambassador Save The Chidren' award that honors the activity of students and serves as a motivation to increase support.
The Councillor for Sports and Health, Felipe Coello, stressed the commitment of the school to 'fight for respect for children's rights anywhere in the world and an end to situations of poverty, inequality and violence which millions of children '.
Coello also congratulated the executive members of the school with 'civic values ​​educate students, paying special attention and importance to what the aid to those most in need. "
The mayor concluded by highlighting the importance of this joint sports initiative, and said that 'there is more solidarity, the effort to help people in situations of inequality'.
Registration will be fully intended to support collective 'Save the Children'.
