The Museum of Science and Water is a founding member of the Association of Museums and Centers of Science and Technology of Spain.
This was given this morning unanimously plenary commission Employment, Social Rights, Education and Culture has approved the participation of the City in creating this new partnership.
Its main purpose will be to help promote the interest and appreciation of the public towards science, technology, research and innovation.
Another aim is to increase the scientific and technological culture, connecting with citizens by facilitating their participation in the scientific debate, promoting mechanism of communication and collaboration with stakeholders in the R + D + I to bring their work and achievements to society, fostering collaboration between the professionals who make the equipment of museums and science centers and facilitate resource sharing among members of the association.
This initiative was launched after various meetings of museum directors in collaboration with the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness in the need to create an association was detected, so far non-existent, to ensure the interests of museums and science and technology.
