The Board of Governors approved this morning the amount of 163,336 euros for 8 projects of the Department of Social Rights who runs Conchita Ruiz Caballero, to develop activities with children, adolescents and groups at risk of social exclusion.
A total of 4,000 children will benefit from these actions
Specifically it authorized an amount of 10,000 euros for the project 'Activities with Children and Adolescents at Community level in the Municipal Social Services Center North Murcia' among the activities to include leisure activities and free time related to Carnival , a book week, christmas and spring schools to cover holiday periods of minors, complementary to the celebration of the week of the rights of children and workshops for children at risk of social exclusion activities.
19,000 euros for the implementation of the project 'Involvement of Children in the School Complementary Activities, the Municipal Social Services Center North Murcia, 2016', which is aimed at facilitating the access of minors from disadvantaged backgrounds and those at risk social resources to various socio leisure, complementary school activities exclusion.
Other amount worth 17,836 euros to the project "Educational Opportunities for Children and Adolescents Care Educational Zone 3", the municipal Center for Social Services "Murcia Norte", which includes the districts of Monteagudo, the Raal, Cobatillas , Las Lumbreras, the Campillo, Llano de Brujas and Santa Cruz, promoted by the Municipal Social Services Center North and Murcia which develops educational intervention with 60 children and young people, aged between 8 and 18 through educational support activities and other activities of recreational and educational nature.
The project includes both individualized intervention, case by case, as working with groups through various activities and the development of their own abilities and skills.
It has also authorized the expenditure of 15,000 euros for the development of the fourth project on 'Activities with Children and Adolescents, or at risk of social exclusion by 2016', which aims to support the various activities managed by the Municipal Department of Social Services to facilitate school integration and education process of children, involvement of parents in the educational process and support leisure activities and free time.
The fifth project is an amount of 30,000 euros for the purchase of Bonds Transport Activities Children and People at Risk of Social Exclusion in 2016. The project aims to ensure assistance to children at social risk accompanying adults on issues related to their education, entertainment and leisure, summer schools, assistance to therapeutic treatments, training and other similar activities.
Meanwhile, the sixth project 'Summer Activities with Children and Adolescents at Risk and Social Exclusion 2016', produced by the Children's area of ​​the municipal Office of Social Services, is endowed with an amount of 40,000 euros.
The purpose of this project is to offer spaces summer schools and camps for the development of various activities of social, recreational and educational integration, children from socially disadvantaged backgrounds in holiday periods, promote environmental respect among children, creating spaces allow them to establish relationships that foster participation, tolerance and group work, while the involvement of associations and voluntary groups in the planning and execution of the summer schools are encouraged.
Seventh development project 'Memorial Week for the Rights of Children, 2016', the Governing Board has allocated the amount of 13,500 euros.
On the occasion of the "Day of the Rights of the Child", the Municipal Department of Social Services is planning to organize a series of activities with the main objective to promote awareness of the rights granted to minors.
For the development of the Memorial Week will have the collaboration of different groups and voluntary organizations and specialized monitors working with children, which held several workshops.
Various activities will be held simultaneously in schools, as preparatory activities, coming together in an exhibition of works, holding a child full, various radio programs, etc.
For the execution of this project is counted with the participation of various departments of the City Council, who will participate with various contributions, as well as the neighborhood councils that work with the removal of the children to the children's party which will conclude Memorial Day Week on the Rights of the Child.
The eighth project has a total of 18,000 euros to ensure pharmaceutical care for people experiencing social exclusion, ensuring adequate health care for transients and homeless people requiring immediate mode proper medication for attention from their problems health.
Finally it approved the accession of the City of Murcia Friendly City initiative for Children sponsored by UNICEF, Spanish Committee, requesting the seal of recognition 'Child Friendly City "for the city and committing collaboration with UNICEF Spanish committee to ensure the implementation of the Convention on the Rights of the Child in the city.
