NOW MURCIA has made a proposal today at a meeting of the public part of the Board of Emuasa, about the roadmap forward for the revision of the management of the company and the replacement of its top management.

Now Murcia Councilman Luis Bermejo has transmitted a proposal that has been well received by the PSOE and change, while the PP councilor Roque Ortiz expected to consult with the other two counselors Emuasa belonging to the PP.

Citizens, meanwhile, like yesterday, did not attend the meeting.

The proposal now is to promote Murcia two separate public tenders, both for the provision of management spaces Emuasa to the choice of an audit firm.

In both cases, the procedure would begin in March and design competition (requirements, scale, etc.) involving all political groups represented on the Board of Directors.

Bermejo explains that "the choice of the new top management should take place within a period not exceeding six months" and that that period is to be established for the audit are completed, including the bidding process and award.

The mayor notes that the external audit will be performed on existing contracts, awarded or not through bidding processes, and operations with the business group of the private partner in the last five years (2010-2015).

In addition to these two public competitions, the council has proposed the creation of a Committee on Temporary address, to oversee the daily management of the company and report monthly to the members of the Board of Directors of transactions, plans and planned work economic and financial developments in the commercial as well as procurement procedures carried out or planned.

This committee would be composed of two staff members of the council with national qualification (intervention and legal services) and a technician appointed by the private party.

Approval for the establishment of the Committee, its composition and functions are included as an item on the agenda of the first meeting of the Board in 2016, scheduled for 29 February.

"This Steering Committee would be maintained at least until the slack in the leadership of the municipal company," said Bermejo.

Councilman recalled that at the end of this process, following the audit and the selection of new directors, "would take place over from the current senior management."

"At the next meeting of the public part of the Board of Emuasa, for which no date yet, we'll see what contributions the other groups made our draft and begin to address the technical aspects of carrying out the creation of the Committee interim Management and two public contests "says Bermejo.
