The University of Murcia (UMU) provide its students with training on values ​​such as solidarity, justice and tolerance and to make citizens of them critically, as set out in the collaboration agreement signed by it and the Intermón Oxfam Foundation.
The agreement adds that the University of Murcia, through the Service to Diversity and Volunteerism, develop a program that also take into account other objectives such as the promotion of public participation, teamwork and reflection.
According to the promoter, Professor and Dean of the Faculty of Arts José Antonio Molina, the agreement formalizes a partnership between the University of Murcia and that foundation there for several years.
Meanwhile, the head of the Department of Operations and Territorial Organization Intermón Oxfam, Fernando Contreras, said during the signing ceremony that this entity fight to eradicate poverty in the world and combat inequality, "because it is necessary to achieve a world more equal ".
The rector of the University of Murcia, José Orihuela, a signer of the agreement with Contreras highlighted the activity carried out by volunteers from the University of Murcia, of which praised his enthusiasm and strength as well as their sense of solidarity.
