| The candidatures presented by Ginés Ruíz and Quique Saura reach an agreement to join a single project in which Councilor Clara Martínez will also participate | After several days of debate, the three lists that wanted to attend the next elections to the spokesperson of Podemos in the municipality of Murcia have come together in a single list with which they seek to represent the entire militancy.

It will be Luigi Carinci, current head of the regional secretariat for Civil Society, who will finally lead that candidacy because he represents a figure of consensus and is the profile most in line with the main objective after the process.

Carinci stressed that this agreement seeks to initiate a stage in which the main objectives are "to strengthen the role of the circles, expand participation and extend the organization, advancing in the space of popular unity." The deal was announced last night,during a telematic meeting with the different circles to present their project to the militancy.

Voting will take place between Wednesday 9 and Friday 11. The figure of the spokesperson will be the one that will replace the current secretary general, a position that since 2018 has been held by the spokesperson of the municipal group in the City Council, Ginés Ruiz Maciá.

The councilor has shown his support for this unique candidacy.

In fact, Clara Martínez Baeza, Ruiz's partner in the consistory, has joined the candidacy to, in this way, "serve as a link between the work of the municipal group and that of the party, encouraging both to work together and in coordination.

". For his part, the lawyer Quique Saura, who had also presented his candidacy for spokesperson, will join Carinci's candidacy along with Angie Brito.

Both are outgoing members of the Municipal Citizen Council, so they know closely both the work of the party and the needs of the municipality.

The lawyer incorporates into the unitary project the organizational proposal contained in the document "Towards an improved and exciting Podemos", which he disseminated among the militants of the political organization. Carinci has assured that the will of the agreement is "to join forces to build an exciting and cohesive municipal organization, where we all find our space".

The candidate has indicated that the new leadership will have the responsibility of "learning from the mistakes of the past so as not to frustrate the expectations of militants and registered members", while at the same time it must follow "the route that we democratically marked at the state and regional level with the documents of Vistalegre III and of the last Autonomous Citizen Assembly to renew the participatory model ".

For Carinci, one of the fundamental tasks that Podemos has ahead of him in the capital is to "connect with social reality and root the party-movement in the social fabric of the city," something he considers "fundamental to revert the municipal government in 2023 ".

In addition, the new direction of the organization in the capital" must promote feminist policies that protect social and environmental rights, public services, and make visible from now on a real alternative to retrograde policies and for the benefit of a few who represent the three rights and the mayor of José Ballesta.

" From the candidacy they also highlight the "important work being carried out by the two councilors in the City Council", a work that they intend to "reinforce and support from the municipal structures of the party" through the incorporation of Clara Martínez Baeza to the candidacy.

Carinci also wanted to highlight the importance of the figure of Ginés Ruiz, and praised his work as a municipal spokesperson and his dedication to institutional work. Finally, the candidate for spokesperson has considered it "inescapable" to continue strengthening ties with Izquierda Unida, with which he intends to continue taking steps towards the confluence through spaces promoted by both organizations, which go beyond the municipal group and the institutional framework.
