Solidarity Easter flowers in Santa Eulalia to help families affected by the pandemic (06/12/2020)

| The solidarity market, located at the door of the Church of Santa Eulalia, will remain open until December 8 | The Murcian neighborhood of Santa Eulalia has launched a solidarity market of Easter Flowers, which began today and will run until December 8, and is organized by the Parish of Santa Eulalia in collaboration with the Central East District Municipal Board and the Department of Urban Development and Modernization of the Administration. The Councilor for Culture and Heritage Recovery, Jesús Pacheco and the Councilor for Urban Development and Modernization of the Administration, José Guillén, attended this morning, highlighting that "once again we Murcia have to show that being in solidarity is one of our signs of identity".The solidarity market is open at the door of the Church of Santa Eulalia from 10:00 a.m.

to 2:00 p.m., and from 6:00 p.m.

to 9:00 p.m., and its proceeds will go to families in the neighborhood affected by the pandemic, an initiative that has been promoted by the Municipal Board of the Central East District.

Specifically, each flower, of the 500 that are available, can be purchased for five euros.Poinsettias produced by CEOM usersThe production of these poinsettias, which are also being distributed in the gardens of Murcia, promotes the employment of people with disabilities, as they are produced by the users of the Association for the Integration of People with Intellectual Disabilities (CEOM) in the Mayayo municipal nursery, providing them with tools that enhance their work capacity and their integration into the job market. This action is possible thanks to the agreements established by the City Council and the association, with which, in addition, the municipal nursery is consolidated as a reference center in socio-labor reintegration, through the production of plants and various plant species, with which the gardens of the municipality are replanted, improving the environment and the quality of life of Murcians.CEOM users carry out gardening employment workshops, which are carried out in the same nursery.

Subsequently, they begin with the planting of species, taking into account the needs of repopulating flowerbeds and natural spaces of the municipality at all times, since the plantations they carry out are used to replant the green areas of Murcia.
