Against the non-restitution by the City Council to its place of origin of the mural of the Virgen de la Fuensanta with children, by Antonio Campillo | With great fanfare this Wednesday, the Murcia City Council announces that the mural of the Virgen de la Fuensanta with children, the work of the great Murcian sculptor Antonio Campillo, is definitely located in municipal offices in Murcia.The mural built for its location in Espinardo, in what were the dependencies of the old reformatory "Nuestra Señora de la Fuensanta" and that later became a cultural center, a building currently closed without many explanations, was removed by the City Council, to be restored and returned to its place of origin.The associative groups of Espinardo want to express our protest at the failure of the City Council to comply with the commitment and the non-return of the altarpiece to its place of origin.We ask the city council to rectify and return the altarpiece to Espinardo.
