The Housing Service designs a package of measures to increase the municipal park by around 150 homes (22/04/2020)

| The inclusion of a budget item of 1.2 million euros has been requested for the urgent call for rental aid for those families in situation of special vulnerability as a result of the health crisis | The Housing service, dependent on the Department of Seniors, Disability and Development Cooperation, today held a working table, made up of the political and technical groups of the Murcia City Council, whose objective is to search for solutions to increase the number of municipal housing and being able to respond to the most vulnerable families who have seen their situation aggravated due to the social and economic emergency derived from the health crisis.In this way, the service is designing a package of measures to increase the municipal park by around 150 homes.Agreement with SAREBOf this total, 100 will correspond to the signing of the agreement with the SAREB (Management Company for Assets Coming from Bank Restructuring) that will allow its temporary assignment to the social rent.

For this, an initial investment of 225,000 euros is required for the development of the homes, the rental amount of which will be 125 euros, according to the aforementioned agreement.Agreements with the Third SectorTwo other agreements would be signed with various entities of the Third Sector to increase the number of rental dwellings intended to cover emergency housing situations arising from the health crisisAlmajov projectThe streamlining of the 'Almajov' project, in the absence of completing the reform of 4-bedroom homes in 2-bedroom apartments and the tender for furniture and appliances, would allow 21 other homes to be added to the municipal park.State Housing Plan and agreement with CARMLikewise, another 10 would be added, coming from the 2018/2021 State Housing Plan, which will allow the purchase of used housing to be used for social rent through a subsidy that can reach up to 60% and which will be collected, as a priority.
