The RMBM commemorates the International Children's Book Day with literary resources for the whole family (02/04/2020)

The Municipal Network of Libraries of Murcia (RMBM), dependent on the Department of Urban Agenda and Open Government, led by Mercedes Bernabé, today commemorates International Children's Book Day with a program of literary recommendations for the whole family.

Under the motto # StayOnCasa with the RMBM, a variety of books and resources are offered in order to promote reading and pay tribute to the Children's Book, which has been celebrated since 1967, coinciding with the date of birth of Hans Christian Andersen.

Likewise, this initiative is aligned with the Plan for the Promotion of Reading 2017-2020, from the Ministry of Culture and Sport, dedicated to promoting reading habits and promoting reading among the little ones.

“Reading is being a refuge for everyone during this period of isolation.

For this reason, we want to invite Murcians to commemorate this day by offering them a wide catalog of resources to enjoy at home, in a fun and entertaining way, and with the family, "highlights Mercedes Bernabé.

A catalog for the whole family

The RMBM proposes to commemorate this day with a catalog of diverse resources and books on different topics to enjoy reading with the family and from home.

Thus, the program includes the following sections and resources:

-Small discounts.

It is a space for the little ones, either for them to read themselves or listen to the stories of the older ones.

The following platforms are proposed: 'Pictocounts', 'Short Stories', 'A Thousand Stories', 'Childrens Library', 'Storyplace', 'Short Stories', 'Halos'.

-Books for young people.

Those interested can enjoy endless resources on the platforms: 'Oh book', 'Harry Potter Blog', 'The thousand books', 'Errata Naturae' and on the YouTube channel of Javier Ruescas.

-Corons of Coronavirus.

In order to explain the current situation to children, a series of readings on Covid-19 is proposed: 'The corona virus',' Rosa against the virus', 'Everything will turn out well', 'Coronavirus He is not a prince 'or' The monster of colors'.

-Comics.

It is a theme very dear to children and young people.

The RMBM proposes to enjoy different collections and readings that can be found in: 'eBiblioMurcia', 'The best children's comics',' Do you want them to read?

-The story time at home.

eBiblio, available to everyone

The Municipal Library Network of Murcia (RMBM) reminds Murcia that they have at their disposal through the eBiblio service the loan of electronic books, press and audiobooks.

eBiblio is financed by the Regional Library and is a project of the Ministry of Culture and Sports.

It is a technological platform that allows access to works in digital format to be able to read them on different devices: tablets, smartphones, personal computers or e-book readers compatible with DRM from Adobe.

Accesses can be made at the address http://murcia.ebiblio.es and on the links on the web www.rmbm.org.

To enter the platform you must be a user of the Municipal Network of Libraries in Murcia.

People with a card can already access and those who do not have to register at http://rmbm.org/servicios/carne2.htm.

Also, by email the access data will be advanced and by postal mail the physical card will be sent.
