Twenty-five teachers from seven different countries participate throughout this week in the meeting held at the University of Murcia of the Erasmus + ESSENCE project to promote the culture of entrepreneurship in school education.
ESSENCE (Entrepreneurial Skills In Schools Education: Nurturing Citizenship and Entrepreneurship) is an Erasmus + project funded by the European Union, coordinated by the Istituto Fontanile Agnino of Rome and in which the UMU participates through Professor Linda Castañeda of the Faculty of Education .
During this week the participants will carry out the 'Exploring the evaluation of the entrepreneurial competence' training action.
Twenty-five middle school teachers in Italy, Turkey, Poland, Finland, Sweden, Portugal and Spain will know the ESSENCE methodology as a whole - teaching methods for the development of competencies for entrepreneurship, activities to develop those competencies, evaluation strategies of transversal competences and evaluation rubrics- and will be trained in the use of the ESSENCE digital tool, developed specifically by the UMU, for the evaluation and self-evaluation of transversal competences.
The teachers who participate will not only receive specific training throughout the six working days, but will also participate in the feedback process of the methodology and the tool, highlighting strengths and areas for improvement.
The training takes place in the Jacobo de las Laws of the Clara Campoamor Newspaper Library.
