The little ones can make their Christmas decorations today from the great Tree of the Circular Square (20/12/2019)

The workshops will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and then a live concert will be held by the duo 'New mixes' formed by Fito Galiana and Nico Pérez.

More than 250 students of the educational centers of Our Lady of Peace, Parra and Divino Maestro school, belonging to the Eastern District of the city, close today the visits of schools, where nearly 1,800 schoolchildren have passed.

"We want all children to live Christmas from the heart of the city, as is the great Tree of the Circular Square. We have organized a program for the whole family to live among all these very endearing dates," explains Councilman José Guillen

Children can participate today, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., of the workshops offered in the large Christmas Tree, located in the Circular Plaza of Murcia.

The little ones can plant their tree, create their Christmas hat and even cut and assemble their own magnetic nativity scene, through a Terra Natura workshop.

Then, at 7:00 p.m., a concert will be held by the duo 'New mixes' formed by Fito Galiana and Nico Pérez.

These are the live music recitals programmed in this space for these Christmas weeks, recitals of different styles for young and old.

"We want all the children to live Christmas from the heart of the city, as is the great Tree of the Circular Square. We have organized a program for the whole family to live among all these endearing dates," explains the councilor.

School visits

More than 250 students from the schools of Our Lady of Peace, Parra and Divino Maestro, belonging to the Eastern District of the city, have participated today in visits to the great Christmas Tree.

Schoolchildren have attended origami workshops and made Christmas decorations.

In addition, they have had the opportunity to plant a tree, write their letter to the Magi and deposit it in the Royal Mailbox.

In total, more than 1,800 boys and girls from 22 neighborhood schools and neighborhoods have visited these days the epicenter of the city, such as the Christmas Tree, to enjoy the workshops and activities scheduled for these dates.

A program for the whole family

The City Council, through the Department of Urban Development and Modernization of the Administration, directed by José Guillén, organizes in this space more than 120 cultural events, including concerts, dance, Christmas workshops and activities until January 5, during the schedule of 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

'Atelier Ornaments for your Tree', 'Plant your Christmas Tree', 'Sew your Christmas Sock', 'Create your Christmas hat', 'Prepare your Cotillion', 'Terra Christmas Crafts' and 'Mini Christmas Chef' of Terra Natura ;

'Mini Chef: Fruit tartlets' and 'Mini Chef: Roscón de Reyes' of the Hospitality School of the City of Murcia, as well as 'Mini Chef: Mantecados Murcia' and 'Mini Chef: Christmas Rolls' of the Cultural Association of Chiefs of the Region of Murcia (JECOMUR) are some of the activities of the program.

Solidarity point

The Tree has a Paje Real Solidarity Point, where children who wish may donate their toys for other children to enjoy.

In return, they will receive chocolate doubloons (more than 50,000).

A Royal Mailbox has also been enabled, in which they can deliver their letters.
