More than 200 schoolchildren from Narcisco Yepes, San Pablo, Santiago el Mayor and Enrique Laborda (Los Dolores) visit the Great Tree (16/12/2019)

A total of 1,500 schoolchildren from Murcia and their districts will participate in the Christmas workshops of La Circular until December 20.

José Ballesta: "It is an opportunity for the little ones to enjoy this very charming time in the Christmas epicenter of Murcia, the Great Christmas Tree."

The school children come from the Espinardo neighborhood, as well as districts such as La Raya, La Arboleja and Cobatillas, among others.

The mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, together with the councilman of Pedanías y Barrios, Marco Antonio Fernández, visited this morning the children's workshops of the Christmas Tree, in which more than 200 children from Narciso Yepes schools, San Pablo, Santiago have participated el Mayor and Enrique Laborda (Los Dolores).

A total of 1,500 schoolchildren will visit, throughout the holidays, the great Christmas Tree in the Circular Square, where they will carry out Christmas activities, learning to make Christmas ornaments, among other workshops.

The visits will take place until December 20.

List of schools

The educational centers that will participate are CEIP La Raya, CEIP Barrio del Progreso, CEIP Santiago el Mayor, Pérez Abadía school, Espinardo, CEIP Enrique Laborda, Los Dolores, Francisco Sánchez Matas school and CEIP Virgen de la Vega, Cobatillas.

Schoolchildren from the Narciso Yepes school, San Pablo school, Giner de los Ríos school, CEIP Andrés Baquero, CEIP Vistabella, CEIP Divino Maestro, CEIP La Arboleja, CEIP San Juan, Escultor González Moreno school, Torresalinas school, CEIP María Maroto, will also participate. Our Lady of Peace school and Parra school.

More than 120 events, including music, dance and Christmas workshops

In addition to the activities of this initiative, Murcia can enjoy more than 120 free events as a family.

“They are about thirty concerts and about a hundred free activities for the whole family with which we promote Christmas traditions among the little ones;

a program that adds to the hundreds of events that will take place in Murcia neighborhoods and districts this Christmas, â€recalled the mayor of Murcia.

Specifically, the programming of the Christmas Tree of Murcia will take place until January 4.
