A group of one hundred students from La Raya today inaugurates school visits to the great Christmas Tree (11/12/2019)

The children have enjoyed the origami activities, have made Christmas decorations and have written their letter to the Magi who have deposited in the Royal Mailbox.

More than 1,600 school children, from 20 educational centers in the municipality, are expected to pass through the Circular Plaza during the next few weeks.

"Before the holidays begin, we give school children the opportunity to enjoy the activities with their classmates and teachers and at the same time learn with them our traditions and live the spirit of these endearing dates," explains the councilor .

The City Council, through the Department of Urban Development and Modernization of the Administration, directed by José Guillén, invites the students of the municipality to participate in the workshops and activities scheduled in the great Christmas Tree, located in the Plaza Circular.

Thus, more than 1,600 schoolchildren, from 20 educational centers in the municipality, are expected to go through this facility in the coming weeks.

Specifically, school visits will take place from today, December 11, until December 20.

In this way, a group of 100 students of CEIP La Raya have opened today visits to the great Christmas Tree, located in the center of the city of Murcia.

The schoolchildren have participated in the origami workshops and have made Christmas decorations.

In addition, they have had the opportunity to plant a tree, write their letter to the Magi and deposit it in the Royal Mailbox.

"We want all the children to live Christmas from the heart of the city, as is the great Tree of the Circular Square. That is why, before the holidays begin, we give the students the opportunity to enjoy the activities with their classmates and teachers and at the same time learn with them our traditions and live the spirit of these very endearing dates â€, explains the councilor.

List of schools

The educational centers that will participate are CEIP La Raya, CEIP Barrio del Progreso, CEIP Santiago el Mayor, Pérez Abadía school, Espinardo, CEIP Enrique Laborda, Los Dolores, Francisco Sánchez Matas school and CEIP Virgen de la Vega, Cobatillas.

Schoolchildren from Narciso Yepes educational centers, San Pablo school, Giner de los Ríos school, CEIP Andrés Baquero, CEIP Vistabella, CEIP Divino Maestro, CEIP La Arboleja, CEIP San Juan, Escultor González Moreno school, Torresalinas school, CEIP María Maroto will also attend , Our Lady of Peace school and Parra school.

Christmas music, dance and workshops

In addition to activities aimed at school children, the Christmas Tree program includes a hundred workshops and free activities.

'Atelier Ornaments for your Tree', 'Plant your Christmas Tree', 'Sew your Christmas Sock', 'Create your Christmas hat', 'Prepare your Cotillion', 'Terra Christmas Crafts' and 'Mini Christmas Chef' of Terra Natura ;

'Mini Chef: Fruit tartlets' and 'Mini Chef: Roscón de Reyes' of the Hospitality School of the City of Murcia, as well as 'Mini Chef: Mantecados Murcia' and 'Mini Chef: Christmas Rolls' of the Cultural Association of Heads of Cuisine of the Region of Murcia (JECOMUR) are some of the activities offered.

Specifically, the programming of the Christmas Tree of Murcia will take place from December 13 to January 4.
