The Brotherhood of La Dolorosa of San Lorenzo de Murcia already has its first Board of Directors

Last Saturday, November 30, the Possession of the Board of Directors of the new brotherhood of Murcia took place: the Brotherhood of Our Lady of Sorrows.

On the occasion of this historic act, the Dolorosa de San Lorenzo -image of the brotherhood that Francisco Salzillo carved around 1767- presided over the High Altar of the parish.

Coinciding with the feast of San Andrés, the new government team of the institution was established after the celebration of the Holy Mass of 12 hours, held in the Parish Church of San Lorenzo Mártir of the Murcian capital and chaired by Don Silvestre del Amor García , Episcopal Delegate of Brotherhoods and Brotherhoods.

During the Act of Takeover, the new President, Francisco Nortes Tornel, received the Statutes of the Brotherhood and the Episcopal Decree of his appointment.

Documents, both, ratified by Don José Manuel Lorca Planes, Bishop of the Diocese, on October 15, 2019, the feast of Saint Teresa of Jesus.

Thus, the institution is officially constituted as the only brotherhood of Gloria, in Murcia capital, whose title is the Virgin of Sorrows: the Dolorosa de San Lorenzo.
