More than 300 people have already visited the new Visitor Center of La Contraparada (22/10/2019)

Since it opened its doors on October 12, the Visitor Center of La Contraparada has aroused great interest among Murcia.

In these first two weekends more than 300 people have visited its facilities.

Through the exhibition elements of this space, visitors have learned the history, heritage and environmental values ​​of the garden of Murcia and the Segura River.

The Center also has interactive elements that allow consolidating knowledge through their manipulation and the use of new technologies.

In addition, this space offers a guided tour service for all those groups of more than five people.

So far, a total of 70 people have used this service through which, accompanied by a guide-interpreter, they have traveled the path of the new Local Path, SL Mu-24 Path of La Contraparada.

This circular tour complements the visit to the exhibition hall.

The Department of Sustainable Development and Huerta, directed by Antonio Navarro, has also launched a program of guided visits to the Center of La Contraparada for Social Entities of the municipality, such as Women's Centers and different associations.

For this he has sent a circular in which he invites all of them to know this space.

At the moment there are already 19 who have confirmed their attendance and another 6 are in the process of requesting it.

Visits for these entities are carried out mainly on Thursdays and Fridays of each month.

The Contraparada Visitor Center opens its doors for all those who want to meet him, on Sundays and holidays, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

During this time, a guided tour for groups of at least 5 people is offered, in which the exhibition hall is visited and the Mu-15 Local Path is covered.

The Contraparada Visitor Center Project is part of the relevant actions of the Huerta Action Plan being developed by the City Council, and is a reference for the knowledge and appreciation of the natural, landscape, cultural, historical and ethnographic values ​​of the environment of the Segura River and the Huerta de Murcia.
