The City of Murcia, through the Youth Service, has an Academic-Labor Orientation Service, which offers information, guidance, activation and accompaniment to the young population.

The objective is to achieve a sustainable integration of Murcia youth in the labor market.

Of the 65 young people, aged between 16 and 30 who have passed through the facilities of the Informajoven center in the first half of this year, 17 were already beneficiaries of the Youth Guarantee and 32 have joined the system during the semester.

Thus, 7 out of 10 young people served in the service are beneficiaries of the National Youth Guarantee System, a European initiative that seeks to guarantee equal opportunities for youth in the labor market, facilitating their access to a job offer, continuous training, training of apprentices or internship period.

In addition to enrollment in the National Youth Guarantee System, 6% of young people have requested academic guidance and 45% work orientation, both with intermediation actions and actions to improve employability.

Regarding the profile of the users served in the Service of academic guidance, most of them have an academic level of ESO or higher;

the levels between man-woman care are practically equal, the demand coming from districts being greater than that coming from the different neighborhoods of the center, although the difference is not very significant.

"The main objective is to offer a specialized service in individualized accompaniment, in the active search for employment and labor insertion. Our job is to ensure that our young people have the future they want to have, we are here to listen and help them, they are our priority" Rebeca Pérez commented.

On the other hand, young people who access this service have the option of benefiting from the measures to stimulate the labor insertion of people of this priority group in the new Strategy for Quality Employment, for example with their participation in programs that they allow them to receive remuneration while they form and develop works of social interest in their municipalities.

This personalized service is offered at the facilities of the Informajoven center on Mondays from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on Fridays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., on the phone is 968 21 55 82.
