Constituted the first twelve Municipal Boards (31/07/2019)

The districts of Corvera, Puebla de Soto, Cobatillas, Barqueros, Zeneta, Rincon de Seca, Torreagüera, Alquerías, Santiago el Mayor, Gea and Truyols, Lobosillo and Los Martínez del Puerto have already formed their government teams.

The councilor of Pedanías y Barrios, Marco Antonio Fernández Esteban, remembers that this process will continue next September.

The City Council already has its first twelve municipal boards.

On Monday the government teams of Corvera, Puebla de Soto, Cobatillas and Barqueros were formed and yesterday, Tuesday, it was the turn of Zeneta, Rincón de Seca, Torreagüera, Alquerías, Santiago el Mayor, Gea and Truyols, Lobosillo and Los Martínez del Port.

In this way, the City Council has begun this week the process of constitution of the 67 municipal boards (including the pedigrees of La Murta and Cañada Hermosa) dependent on the Department of Pedanías and Barrios, directed by Marco Antonio Fernández Esteban.

The mayor recalls that this process will continue next September, "always as soon as possible."

Mariana Castillejo repeated as president of the Municipal Board of the hamlet of Los Martínez del Puerto during an act chaired by the Councilor for Urban Development and Modernization of the Administration, José Guillén.

Salvador Cánovas García was appointed new president of the Municipal Board of the district of Zeneta.

The Councilor for Culture and Heritage Recovery, Jesús Pacheco, was responsible for directing the act and establishing the government team.

Carmen Conesa also repeats as president of the district of Lobosillo.

The act was directed by the Councilor for Health and Sports, Felipe Coello, and at the Cultural Center of the town and with the presence of neighbors.

In the same way, Fulgencio Perona was also appointed as president of the Municipal Board of Torreagüera.

The act of formation of the new government team was chaired by the mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta.

The hamlet of Alquerías will have Fernando J. González as the new president of the Municipal Board.

The Councilors of Urban Agenda and Open Government, Mercedes Bernabé, and Citizen Security and Economic Management, Eduardo Martínez-Oliva, presided over the constitution of the government team.

Rincon de Seca will have Pedro José Ruipérez as president of the Municipal Board.

The Councilor for Sustainable Mobility and Youth, Rebeca Pérez, was in charge of setting up the new team.

The Municipal Board of Santiago el Mayor was also established yesterday.

Juan José García was elected president during an act led by the councilors of Sustainable Development and Huerta, Antonio Navarro, and Social and Family Rights, Pilar Torres.

María José Rodríguez was appointed president of the district of Gea and Truyols and did so during an act led by the councilors of Development, Mario Gómez, and Seniors, Disability and Economic Management, Francisca Pérez.

After the last municipal elections, of the 67 meetings in total, 20 have an absolute majority of the Popular Party, eight of the PSOE and one of Citizens.

The remaining 38 depend on the pacts and negotiations reached throughout these days and according to the distribution of the election results.

In this way, 587 people will be part of the municipal boards of these bodies whose main functions are the maintenance, conservation, repair and replacement of municipal infrastructure and buildings.

Likewise, they have the powers of promotion and dissemination of sports, social and cultural activities, as well as serve as transmitters of information between the town hall and the neighbors.
