400 voices will take the sensations of the September Fair to Belluga in the Pregón interpreted by the Coral Discantus (30/07/2019)

The kick-off of the Fair will be on Friday, September 6, at 9:00 p.m., in Belluga Square, and will be attended by guest star Ruth Lorenzo.

The show, with which the Coral Discantus celebrates its 25th anniversary, will allow you to enjoy the attractions of Fica, evoke the Huertos del Malecón, recreate the Moors and Christians celebrations and allow you to feel the atmosphere of the Pilgrimage.

The 400 voices of the set of sections of the Coral Discantus will be responsible for offering the Proclamation of the Murcia Fair, which will take place on Friday, September 6, at 9:00 p.m., in Belluga Square, and will feature a guest star: the internationally successful Murcia singer Ruth Lorenzo.

This was announced this morning by the mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, in an act in which he was accompanied by the Councilor for Culture and Heritage Recovery, Jesús Pacheco, the director of the Coral Discantus, Angel Carrillo, the president of the entity, Emilio Sánchez, and the stage director of the show, Silvana García.

“Since we started our journey in the City of Murcia, we launched a new conception of the Pregón.

We wanted to open it to all Murcia and celebrate it, for the first time, in a public and outdoor space, with music and the word as protagonists and by the hand of the creators of our land, â€said José Ballesta, who indicated that“ the Coral Discantus will offer an innovative show for the whole family, with an eclectic repertoire full of surprises, with which it also celebrates its 25 years of history â€.

Through memory, light, atmosphere and choral music, the Pregón will move to the Belluga square a little piece of the Fica site and its attractions, you can feel the Huertos del Malecón, enjoy the Moors celebrations and Christians, remember the atmosphere of the Pilgrimage and all the sensations evoked by the great festive and social event that is the September Fair for Murcia.

The Coral Discantus has structured the Pregón into five blocks that collect the essence of the Fair and the roots of Murcia: 1) the Huerta, which combines tradition and innovation;

2) the progress and projection of the municipality towards its inhabitants and the rest of the world;

3) The welcoming character of Murcia;

4) children and the Fair;

5) the joy and sympathy of the Murcian character.

The director of the Coral Discantus, Ángel Carrillo, stressed that “this proclamation will be for us the perfect time to return to the city of Murcia part of the love he has given us in these 25 years and that has made us grow to be a musical entity of First national level, with a vocation of public service and rooted in Murcian cultural life â€, and added that“ the Pregón will be our concert number 1,462 and in it will participate 400 vocalists divided into the 5 sections: Children, Youth, Junior, University and Official Section

A new conception of the Proclamation

The first performance that inaugurated the mass show that has become the Proclamation of the Fair, which has established itself as the starting gun of the September Fair came in 2015 with Los Parrandboleros.

The following year it was the turn of the Orfeón Murciano Fernández Caballero.

In 2017 they were the musical groups Orchestra of Plectro and Guitar of Puente Tocinos, Musical Society 'Las Musas' de Guadalupe, Youth Musical Group of Cabezo de Torres and Musical Group of Beniaján.

Last year's Cry was at the rhythm of blues, pop and rock and roll, with Murcian artists Santi Campillo, Diego Martín, Al Dual, Claim, Miguel Bañón and Xuso Jones.
