70% of the Strategic Map of the Noise is already executed (29/07/2019)

The Councilor for Sustainable Development and Huerta, Antonio Navarro, chaired this morning the meeting of the Sectorial Council of Noise, which in its session today has studied the current situation of the Strategic Map of Noise, the Map of Noise of Leisure, the proposal for request for the incorporation of new Special Acoustic Protection Zones (ZPAE) of Infante Juan Manuel, data on the situation of noise files and the status of implementation of the Electric Vehicle Strategy

The meeting was attended by representatives of all municipal political groups, the official colleges of Biologists, Surveyors, Technical Architects and Building Engineers, Property Administrators, Architects, Lawyers, Industrial Engineers and Telecommunications Engineers, of associations such as Ecologists in Action, Businessmen for Leisure Quality, No more noise, Federation of Neighborhood Associations of the Municipality of Murcia, HOSTEMUR, CROEM and Asbamur.

On the Strategic Noise Map, in which the population's exposure to the different noise levels is measured in the different periods to elaborate the Plans of Action necessary to minimize these levels, 70% of the surface area has already been calculated. municipality.

Councilor Antonio Navarro has explained that "it is reaching a much higher level than required by the regulations, not limiting the calculation to urban centers, but extending it to the entire surface of population entities, such as districts, which will contribute greater utility. "

So far 51 seats have been installed on national roads, 98 on regional roads, 211 on urban roads, 5,500 on roads and urban centers of districts and downtown Murcia and 1,051 acoustic traffic measurements have been made

As for the Leisure noise Map, the one that was carried out in 2017 was updated to determine the acoustic state of the Special Acoustic Protection Areas (ZPAEs), which are limited to the University Zone - Alfonso X, San Lorenzo Zone - Santa Eulalia - San Juan and San Pedro Zone

The work already carried out has consisted of continuous noise measurement by monitoring with stations located at 9 points within the ZPAEs, for a minimum of 3 weeks at each point and 8,000 itinerant measurements.

Thus, 310 noise emitting sources derived from leisure activities have been identified, of which 90 correspond to terraces and watchtowers, 20 to areas of accumulation or movement of people and 200 to emission in doors of entry and exit of premises.

At the present date, all the data of the Alfonso X - University ZPAE is available and its modeling can already begin, with the itinerant measurements pending to finish the acoustic profile on working day of the noise sources in San Lorenzo - Santa Eulalia - San Juan and Las Flores square and continuous measurements in Balsas Square and San Juan-Cristo del Rescate.

In addition, other measures have been implemented, such as the realization of awareness and sensitization campaigns, the creation of the Leisure Police last November, the increase of environmental inspectors and public road inspectors, the non-concession of new street licenses with overcoming of escaping at night (23:00 to 07:00 hours) or extension of terraces, among others.

During the meeting, the expansion of the Leisure Noise Map has been announced to new areas such as Juan Ramón Jiménez Avenue, Centrofama, Condestable Zone and Cathedral.

Noise Records

During 2018, a total of 793 files for noise were initiated in the municipality, a figure that reaches 526 in the first half of this year.

The 526 files from January to June 2019, 87 correspond to activities (excess of music noise from entertainment venues, noise disturbances from local air conditioners, lack of license to broadcast music and noise disturbances from of premises such as carpentry, laundry, bakeries, supermarkets, gyms, bells, workshops ...), 12 for breach of corrective measures, one for public address on public roads, 167 for neighborhood noises, 14 for animals, 81 for adoption of corrective measures and 164 requests for technical inspection.
