Dental aesthetics, the most demanded by the patient (06/07/2019)

The Campus of Los Jerónimos yesterday hosted the 1st Conference on Multidisciplinary Dentistry, organized by Postgraduate Dentistry UCAM, which was attended, throughout the day and in different parallel sessions, about 600 professionals and students

The event involved specialists from New Delhi, United Kingdom, Italy, Australia, Argentina, Spain, Mexico, Brazil and Japan, who presented the latest advances in implantology, DSD, periodontics, orthodontics, prosthetics, endodontics or adhesive aesthetics.

All of them, outstanding in their field of study;

In addition, many are part of the teaching faculty of Postgraduate Dentistry UCAM.

Among the speakers, highlights Dr. Sidney Kina, a benchmark in the world of aesthetic dentistry for years, and who will direct the newly created Chair of Adhesive Aesthetic Dentistry of the UCAM.

At the opening ceremony, Aldo Lucero Sánchez, organizer of the same and director of the Chair of Training and R & D in Clinical Dentistry of the University, and Postgraduate in Odontology UCAM;

Jerónimo Lajara, dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences of the UCAM, and José Manuel Granero, vice-dean of the Degree in Odontology.

The tooth as own graft

Doctors Lanka Mahesh and Praful Bali, from New Delhi, opened the session with implantology.

About where the dentistry is going, they indicated that it is using the tooth as its own graft.

"Crush it and place it inside the alveolus, to regenerate the bone as quickly as possible." Society demands a lot of aesthetics and function.With these new technologies what is achieved is to place the implant, regenerate the bone and put the tooth on the same day, therefore the patient will never be without tooth, which is the general objective ".

This event was a meeting point for the students of the institution and the collaborating professors of the programs that are developed in the different PGO-UCAM headquarters at a national and international level.

The day stands out for its multidisciplinary nature, "something unusual in this sector that is very specialized and usually are events organized by different scientific societies in specific areas of dentistry," says Aldo Lucero Sanchez, organizer and director of the same the Chair of Training and R & D in Clinical Dentistry of the University, and of Postgraduate Studies in Dentistry UCAM.

During the development of the same diplomas will be delivered to students who have completed their graduate in dentistry during this course.
