Discover the ins and outs of disclosure with some of the best experts in the field (04/07/2019)

The University of Murcia opens the registration period for the UNIMAR summer course 'Scientific dissemination: a transmedia story', which will bring to the Region of Murcia great national exponents in this discipline.

In the training activity, which will take place on September 9, 10 and 11, 2019, the Unit of Scientific Culture and Innovation (UCC + i) of the University of Murcia (UMU), will provide tools and knowledge to execute innovative projects for scientific dissemination.

Participants in this course will be able to familiarize themselves with the use of innovative and current formats to tell science in a creative and attractive way such as the YouTube platform, comics, monologues, shows, etc.

The director of this action is the disseminator José Manuel López Nicolás, active biochemistry researcher with more followers on twitter throughout Spain, coordinator of the UCC + i of the UMU and creator of the blog Scientia.

Likewise, the coordination of the course corresponds to the researcher and professor of Disclosure and responsible for Scientific Communication of the UCC + i at UMU Delfina Roca Marín and to the communicator, advisor and scientific journalist Santiago Campillo Brocal.

All of them will also be teachers in the course.

Among the professors there will be more representation from Murcia.

There will be the mathematician Santi García Cremades, director and presenter of the program 'Root of 5' (Radio 5 RNE), and collaborator and reporter of TVE in 'Órbita Laika';

the professor of the UMU and specialist in experimental archeology and the traceology Ignacio Martín Lerma;

and the author of the blog 'Ese Punto Azúl Pálido' and co-founder of the ADC of the Region of Murcia Daniel Torregrosa López.

In addition, during the conference, attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy the knowledge of other nationally recognized disseminators such as the expert in social communication Natalia Ruiz, disseminator in astronomy and artist 'astrocoplera';

the scientific researcher and comic book artist Miriam Rivera;

the successful youtuber Javier Santaolalla, founder of the channel 'Date un voltio';

and biotechnologist and scientific journalist Ángela Bernardo Álvarez, who works at the CIVIO Foundation doing investigative journalism.

The registration period will be open until September 2.

With this activity the UCC + i of the UMU is still committed to attract dissemination to Murcia, this time through the summer courses established by the Universidad del Mar.
