500 swimmers from 26 clubs from 4 autonomous communities will participate this weekend in the XXXV Ciudad de Murcia Trophy (14/06/2019)

Next weekend the municipal pool Murcia Park will host the XXXV Ciudad de Murcia Trophy, a swimming competition included in the official calendar of competitions of the Swimming Federation of the Region of Murcia, state-wide, considered the best of the Region and one of the best nationwide.

This sporting event is the only one that requires minimum marks to be able to participate and that is celebrated in a 50 meter pool with electronic timing, which makes it very attractive for many clubs from outside the Region.

26 clubs from different autonomous regions such as Castilla la Mancha, Valencia and Madrid, as well as Murcia, have already confirmed their participation, with some 500 federated swimming swimmers registered.

Thus, several swimmers champions of the Region, Spain and Europe will be present individual and relay tests.

The categories that participate in this trophy are alevín, infantil, junior and absoluta, leaving out the categories prebenjamín and benjamín, a circumstance that makes the sport level higher.

There will also be an adapted swimming exhibition with the Adapted Swimming Club of Murcia and small swimmers from the club's swimming school.

Likewise, 120 minutes of solidary swimming will be held to benefit Casa Oikia (www.casaoikia.org) a shelter in Bolivia for street children with the aim of freeing minors from the dangers of the night, providing them with shelter , safety, nutrition and health care.

This swimming trophy, which has already lasted more than three decades, is the one with the longest tradition of all those held in the Region of Murcia.
