The cooperation initiative between the Pedagogical and Technological University of Colombia (Uptc) and the Catholic University of Murcia is the result of an agreement for the creation of a Virtual Master's Degree in Tourism Innovation and Marketing, which includes a student internship program.
The public university Uptc, with more than 28 thousand graduated students and 65 years of operation, in collaboration with the UCAM have presented before the Colombian Ministry of National Education, the International Masters in Innovation and Tourism Marketing, in which the student will also have the opportunity to receive the Master's degree in Tourism Innovation and Marketing from the UCAM, that is, a double degree.
This cooperation is the result of an agreement for the creation of a virtual mastery of two years, which has a practical part and a student internship program at the UCAM.
"The strategic alliance between the institutions aims to promote knowledge in innovation, technology and tourism marketing in Latin America, positioning the master's degree as a benchmark for training in this area," said Ginesa Martínez del Vas, Vice Dean of the Degree in Tourism at the UCAM during her visit to the Uptc.
Ginesa Martínez also taught a class on sustainable tourism in a specialization that the Colombian university has, as well as giving a lecture to the business community of Duitama (Colombia) about successful cases of sustainable tourism in Spain.
Within the framework of the research, this collaboration between the Catholic University and the Colombian university also wants to establish a base that drives the first international doctoral students, with the help of the Agustín Codazzi Geographic Institute.
