José Ballesta visits the works of extension and renovation of the sanitation and supply network, which have been executed and are being developed in the hamlet, through an investment of more than 220,000 euros.
The works are part of the Water Action Plan of Murcia 2015-2020, endowed with 32 million euros and which involves the creation of 1,500 direct jobs through 63 projects.
The acting mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, together with the councilor for Town Planning, Environment and Huerta, Antonio Navarro, visited this morning the works of expansion and renovation of the sanitation and supply network that have been implemented and are being executing in Zarandona, and that will provide a better service to more than 6,700 residents of the district, through an investment of more than 220,000 euros.
In total, there are five actions -four of them already completed-, which add more than 3,500 m2 of new asphalt in the affected areas, which are located on Calle Cervantes (where three actions have been carried out: repair of the network of supply, rehabilitation of sanitation at the intersection with Calle Ingeniero José Alegría and expansion of a section of the sanitation network), Francisco Guillén Street (where the supply network has been renewed and the sanitation network has been extended) and Gregorio Conesa Galindo Street, ( whose renovation work on the sanitation network is currently underway and will end this month).
The Action Plan involves the creation of 1,500 jobs
The action is part of the Water Action Plan of Murcia 2015-2020, which is endowed with a total of 32 million euros, of which 70% of the works are executed or are in execution, which means an investment of 21 million euros.
This Plan involves the creation of 1,500 direct jobs and includes a total of 63 projects.
62% of the actions correspond to works to improve sanitation and the remaining 38% goes to work in the supply network.
