The phenomenon of eSports is growing by leaps and bounds and the FFRM has wanted to add to this trend at the hands of San Antonio Catholic University because of its experience in this sector.
The world of electronic sports is in full growth and therefore more and more institutions have been interested in this industry that attracts millions of young people around the world.
José Luis Mendoza, president of the UCAM, and José Miguel Monje, president of the FFRM, have signed a collaboration agreement to launch joint actions in the field of electronic sports.
For Monje Carrillo, it is a historical fact: "It is the first agreement signed between a university and a sports federation to develop an eSports activity, thinking above all of the children who want to participate".
Tao Martínez, director of strategy at UCAM eSports, highlighted the importance of the agreement for the size of the two signatory entities: "The FFRM is an important ally for us when it comes to starting projects, the first one will be on June 14 at the We will hold a FIFA face-to-face event in which the federation will take its first test in eSports, starting in September we will hold different championships and leagues in which UCAM eSports will contribute all its knowledge in this sector to the federation while they will put all the structure for the organization of competitions ".
