The Department of Economic Promotion, Culture and European Programs has approved the bases and call for the second edition of the awards 'City, creativity, culture and entrepreneurship' whose objective is the promotion of cultural and creative companies.
Likewise, it will allow the identification of these companies in the municipality, the promotion of participation channels and the interrelation between them, and will contribute to their greater visibility.
Likewise, public spaces and private ones will be offered that show their interest to be incorporated as showcases for its diffusion, favoring a social recognition to this sector of economic activity.
In addition to this year has increased by 5,000 euros the endowment of the prizes, the main novelty is that it has created a new special category prize aimed at performing arts projects and music industries (dance, theater, street theater, circus , performance, monologues ...) endowed with up to 4,000 euros.
In this call may participate natural persons with habitual residence in Murcia, individually or in groups, and legal persons (small and medium enterprises) whose registered office and tax is the municipality.
The participation of projects of people or entities not resident or domiciled outside the municipality may also be admitted, provided that the project is planned to take place in Murcia.
The start date of the activity of the Cultural and Creative Company can not be before January 1, 2016, although those who have started the activity prior to that date can attend if they present an unpublished project.
The proposals have to be related to architecture, visual arts, performing arts, crafts and antiques, cinema, design (graphic, industrial, editorial, product and interior), digital distribution, digital publishing, photography and video, participatory generation of content and social media, research and development, games, computer games, fashion, mobility and location, music, open data, cultural and natural heritage, press, content production, advertising, radio, television and new media, tourism and gastronomy, software, video and videogames.
Applications for participation in this Edition of the Awards will be presented in the General Register of the City of Murcia and a copy of all documentation will be sent to the email cim@ayto-murcia.es .
It will be necessary to present, among other documents, a project of the activity to be developed that must contain the following information:
- Name of the project.
- Description and development of all the aspects of the project that describe its viability, quality and interest as well as its innovative character. * Accredit, in its case, that it is an unpublished project that is going to be produced for the first time. they will start their activity before 1-1-2016).
- Goals.
- Target audience.
- Places in which you want to carry out the project.
- Material and technical means necessary to develop the project.
- Number of professionals who will participate directly in the project.
- Calendar that includes expected date of presentation.
- Detailed and disaggregated investment budget, as well as the planned financing plan.
- Milestones achieved with the project if results have already been obtained.
The deadline for submission will begin on the day that the bases are published in the BORM and ends on June 28.
In addition, the employment and local development agents of the Municipal Initiatives Center will inform, advise and guide all those interested in participating in this call.
The Jury will evaluate the viability (40%), the quality and interest of the project (40%) and the innovative character (20%).
The total award of the prizes is 20,000 euros that will be distributed as follows
- First Prize: Up to 6,500 euros
- Second Prize: Up to 5,500 euros
- Third Prize: Up to 4,000 euros
- Special Category Award directed to Performing Arts and Musical Industries Projects: Up to 4,000 euros
The projects presented will be included in the Cultural and Creative Residences and in workshops held in municipal spaces.
They will also participate in the next Municipal Entrepreneurs Fair.
In addition, all the participants whose projects have been considered viable will be able to avail themselves of the advice of the staff of the Municipal Initiatives Center.
