The socialist candidate for the Mayor's Office of Murcia, José Antonio Serrano, presented this morning a map, also known as orthophotography, where the different and numerous public spaces scattered throughout the municipality are captured, in order to give an agile response to the demand for collective equipment in a neighborhood or district.

This map, which did not exist until now, reflects the public free zones that exist in each neighborhood and district, which "will allow us to make adjusted and agile decisions to the needs, but it will also give us an accurate knowledge of the square meters and of the qualification that each space has ", Serrano points out, adding that" it is a good instrument, developed by professionals, to work in the field because we are determined to provide the necessary infrastructures to neighborhoods and districts, thus advancing in the rebalancing of the municipality that we are prioritizing ".

In addition, he explained that the socialist electoral program includes a battery of almost 700 measures for neighborhoods and districts, in addition to other 121 that affects the entire municipality in general.

"They are concrete answers to real problems, from placing lampposts, building sidewalks, paving, setting up a garden or opening a library, they are not great investments, but they are necessary investments that resolve everyday life and improve the well-being of neighbors", he pointed out. Serrano

In this sense, one of the priorities is to achieve an optimum level in the provision of services, first with mobility, which must be sustainable, and connection between districts and between these and the rest of the municipality.

In addition, Councilman number 30 will be created, which will be a neighborhood representative, which will change every time and will have a voice in the plenary sessions.

Likewise, it is planned to establish participatory democracy by promoting a great neighborhood pact so Murcia and Murcia feel that they are partners in municipal decisions.

Another measure is to achieve greater decentralization so that the municipal boards have more capacity for management and autonomy in terms of their resources and that they have 8% of the City Council Budget.

Also, it is necessary to design participatory budgets that will allow 40% of the works of districts and neighborhoods to be decided by the inhabitants thereof.

Finally, the socialist candidate proposes to launch a catalog of minimum services endowed with the necessary resources, since, as detailed, "the attention to the citizen must be first and this implies avoiding bureaucracy and unnecessary transfers to Murcia because a neighbor has to solve a paperwork in their parish, equality is also this and even more so in these times of information and communication technologies ".
