A new contest will recognize the creative talent of young people in the municipality (17/05/2019)

Councilor for Infrastructure, Public Works and Services, Rebeca Pérez, and the general director of Youth, Fran Sánchez, present the Creation Festival Region of Murcia Joven 2.0 to be held tomorrow Saturday at the Artillery Barracks, with free admission.

The "Regional Contest of Murcia Joven 2.0", which will take place tomorrow, Saturday, at 7:00 p.m., at the Artillery Barracks, constitutes a new impulse to the recognition of young Murcia's talent, in this case, through six disciplines of music, gastronomy, dance and creativity.

The Councilor for Infrastructure, Public Works and Services, also responsible for the area of ​​Youth, Rebeca Pérez, and the General Director of Youth, Fran Sánchez, presented today the event, which will have Varry Brava as guest artist.

Pérez stressed the "importance of Murcia continuing to increase the contests and festivals that contribute to promote and promote the creativity of young people, arouse vocations and concerns, and create spaces, scenarios and opportunities for them to express their talent."

The most important call of municipal character, CreaMurcia, has already added 27 years to the artistic creativity of young people, and more recently other initiatives have also been promoted by the City Council, such as #murciasemueve.

'Any proposal that comes to us, is viable and supposes a support for cultural expression of Murcia's youth will have municipal collaboration,' added the councilor.

Sustainable festival

Taking advantage of the concentration of young people, there will be an awareness campaign about the need to keep the city clean and take care of the environment.

Thus, will be present at the festival the new campaign 'I'm not you and you?', #NSM, where young people can be photographed by identifying with neighbors, knowing that if they are civic, take care of their city.

The festival, like all those who have somehow with the organization or presence of the Youth service of the City Council, will be an appointment with a marked sustainable character.

For this purpose, reusable cups will be distributed and gastronomy finalists will be given containers with the colors of selective to send messages of awareness about the importance of separating at source.

And especially in the kitchens of homes, to later deposit it properly for recycling.

In addition, the presenter will invite attendees to be more respectful of the environment through examples and motivating messages.

During the event, young local artists of the Municipal Office of Graffiti, promoted by the Department of Infrastructure, Public Works and Services in collaboration with Ferrovial Services, will make a live graffiti exhibition where they will create two works on canvases of 2x 1.50 meters .

The theme will be related to the event being held and later these works will be exhibited in young spaces.

On the other hand, 15 young people will form an Ecological Patrol and carry out their work of waste collection throughout the event, bringing to the audience a message of awareness and social awareness.
