Security device deployed in the city of Murcia on the occasion of the celebration of Bando de la Huerta (23/04/2019)

The Center for Coordination of Emergencies 1-1-2 Region of Murcia, through the Unit Coordinator Center (CCU) of the Emergency Management and Sanitary Emergencies 061, coordinates the health care device that, since 9.30 am, has begun to be operative through the streets of Murcia to take care of the sanitary incidents that could occur due to the celebration of Bando de la Huerta.

In this health care device personnel and units of the 061, Red Cross and Civil Protection of the City of Murcia participate.

Thus, 3 field hospitals have been installed, which are located in the Plaza de Santoña, FICA precinct and Red Cross plaza, respectively, with Red Cross staff the first two, and Civil Protection of the City of Murcia, the last.

The Emergency Management and Sanitary Emergencies 061 has provided two mobile emergency units and a rapid intervention vehicle, all with their corresponding health personnel.

For its part, the Red Cross has mobilized 10 ambulances and 1 rapid intervention vehicle with its corresponding personnel.

One more health team will be fixed in the Plaza de Santa Isabel with a defibrillator.

In addition to equipment prepared for the aquatic rescue in the mote of the Segura river.

The Civil Protection Service of the City of Murcia has 1 ambulance and 1 rapid intervention vehicle with its corresponding personnel.

More 30 volunteers to be deployed along the course of the Bando parade.

As far as security is concerned, the Local Police of Murcia has all of its staff operating.

Up to 240 agents will be deployed through the streets during today's day.

Access to the city center has been restricted to vehicles with more than 3,500 kg, with the exception of public transport.

The Fire and Rescue Extinction Service of the Murcia City Council has set up a checkpoint consisting of 28 people and 6 vehicles.

For its part, the service call attention to 1-1-2 has been reinforced with 5 more operators to reach 19 people, which is a 31 percent increase over an ordinary day.
