The workshops of 'Los Jardines del Rey Lobo' will transfer the youngest ones to the 12th century and discover the traditions of Murcia (23/04/2019)

They will take place from tomorrow until Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Plaza Circular.

The workshops are: Plant your Spring Garden, Plant your garden, Murcia in miniature: Handicrafts with Terra Natura, Pin huertano with Terra Natura, Potato huertano with Terra Natura, Hands craft: Project Abraham, Storytimes of animals with Terra Natura and Show of birds Raptors

The Circular Square has become the Huertano epicenter of the city, through the monument 'Los Jardines del Rey Lobo'.

A large orchard in 360 degrees that recreates the beauty of the gardens of Ibn Mardanis, prosperous king of Murcia and one of the most outstanding figures of the Mediterranean political scene of the twelfth century.

This floral monument is presided by a large sculpture of 20 meters: a reproduction of Monteagudo Castle.

In this space children's workshops have been scheduled to take place tomorrow until Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., with free access.

"This monument of great dimensions represents our history, and for that reason we have placed it in one of the most emblematic squares of the city.The gardens and green areas are fundamental in our municipality, they are part of the daily life and the life of Murcians Our climate allows us to enjoy them all year round but especially in spring, the municipality is reborn, and they become protagonists.With the Spring Gardens we intend to merge history, tradition and culture, with leisure, fun and spectacle. del Rey Lobo, a space to share and discover "explained José Guillén.

A large garden with a hundred trees and about 18,000 flowers and shrubs

This space has an automatic spraying system and 135 trees will be planted, including cypress, orange, lemon, palm, pomegranate, olive, mulberry, carob and pear trees.

It is composed of 17,700 plants such as geraniums, sedge, palmitos, echeverias, mastic trees, male ferns, cordata ferns, ivies, jasmine, alocasia, various bushes, santolinas, wallflowers, agaves, aloe veras, paleras and boxwood.

As well as 2,000 leaves of palm trees.

In order to obtain this monument, 2 children's pergolas have been installed, totaling 300 m2, entwined and with artificial turf so that all the residents of the municipality can enjoy this work.

In addition, a floral pergola of 275 m2 has been installed to give color to this recreation.

The four large ornamental towers, 6 and 4 meters high, give this garden a dimension that simulates this historic enclave.

To complete this recreation we have used materials such as travertine marble, rocks, wooden sleepers, stone rock, almez buds, albero, gravel, artificial turf, straw, wooden palots, garden metal porticos, remains and significant ancient elements, giant trunks and cut-to-length cut-off steel pots.

To this staging we must add 73 elements in 3D, 165 m2 of textured and hand-painted carved material, 120 kg of coated sand and 300 kg of rubber protection.

The water will also be present in 3 fountains and 4 ponds.

8 pyramidal planters of 2.5 meters will be located.

At night it will be transformed into an audiovisual show, with 60 RGB led spotlights, 24 moving heads and 52 environmental bulbs.

As well as 24,000 watt of sound, 360º.
