The president of the Community, Fernando López Miras, received today at the San Esteban Palace the Queen of La Huerta 2019, Isabel López, and the Queen of the Children's Garden, Candela Sánchez, who were accompanied by their bridesmaids and president of the Peñas Huertanas Federation, Juan Pedro Hernández, of whom the regional president stressed that "you are the best representation of a rich and valuable legacy that deserves to be conserved and known even better".
"You are the best ambassadors of Murcia and of a whole region that feels like a garden" and "you have the important mission of spreading and representing our traditions, our culture and folklore, as well as our identity," said López Miras, who added that this work requires "a great responsibility and dedication".
During this meeting, the delegations of Castellón, Valencia, Alicante, Elda and Ciudad Real, and a representation of the House of the Region of Murcia in Mallorca and the one in Madrid were also present.
