80% of the incidents produced by the intense rains in green areas are already resolved (20/04/2019)

The Department of Modernization of the Administration and Urban Development has already resolved 80% of the incidents produced by heavy rains since yesterday afternoon in Murcia.

To do this, has mobilized a device of almost fifty people working in six teams to review the 3,000 green areas of the municipality.

The councilor of the area, José Guillén, has held a coordination meeting this morning, attended by technicians from the City Council and the service concessionaire, STV, where the priorities for action have been established, beginning with those necessary to safeguard the security of the people and those that affect to cuts of streets by fall of branches or incidences in the arbolado.

In addition, a device has been put in place to permanently monitor the evolution.

The coordinated work of municipal technicians, the concessionaire company, local police and firemen has made it possible to solve efficiently and quickly most of the alterations caused by water and wind gusts.

As a result of the intense rain in the last hours, which has been around a third of the usual in a year, have been detected 25 incidents until noon today related to parks and gardens.

The most unique has taken place in the vicinity of the Palacio de los Deportes, where the workers will finish the works this afternoon, before the start of the El Pozo match.

The incidents detected have also occurred in garden elements, plant species and urban furniture.

Likewise, the team dedicated to the creation of the 23 Primavera gardens continue their work with normality.
