The ODSesiones UMU project dedicates the month of March to raise awareness about health and well-being (22/03/2019)

The University of Murcia inaugurates on Monday, March 25, the activities dedicated to the third Sustainable Development Goal (ODS), 'Health and Wellbeing'.

The event will take place at 4.30 pm in the Auditorium of the Campus de la Merced and will be attended by José Luján, rector of the UMU;

Carmen Robles, dean of the Faculty of Medicine of the UMU;

and Manuel Villegas, Health Advisor of the CARM.

Then, the lecture series 'Learning from the Masters: Life, Body and Mind' will begin, in which the following lectures will be given:

5:00 pm: 'The miracle of transplants', by Pablo Ramírez, professor of Surgery at the UMU, regional transplant coordinator and director of the IMIB.

6.15 pm: 'The watches of your life' by Marta Garaulet, Professor of Physiology at the UMU.

7.30 pm: 'Health, well-being and resilience' by María Isabel Lozano Olmos, psychiatrist and associate professor at the UMU.

17 ODSesiones is the project of the University of Murcia aimed at disseminating and raising awareness about the 17 sustainable development goals that the United Nations set with the year 2030 as a horizon.

Until April 2021 the University will dedicate one month to each of these objectives to sensitize the university community and the whole society about these purposes.
