Murcia hosts the SICARM workshops on new technologies from March 11 to 17 (10/03/2019)

A total of 9 workshops will be held on the responsible use of the Internet, smart home, 3D printing or creation of digital sounds, among others

"This event will allow citizens to discover everything about new technologies and the latest developments in the sectors of information technology and telecommunications, it is an opportunity to learn as a family and enjoy the open air of the various workshops," said José Guillén.

The SICARM 2019 is organized by the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia, through the General Directorate of Information Technology and the Integra Foundation, and in which the City of Murcia collaborates, through its Smart City office, which part of the Department of Modernization of the Administration and Urban Development.

This technological demonstration event will take place from March 11 to 17 in the Plaza Circular.

The workshop schedule is from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. (reserved for schools and other groups) and from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. for all interested parties.

On Saturdays and Sundays, the hours are from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

"This event will allow citizens to discover everything about new technologies and the latest developments in the sectors of information technology and telecommunications, it is an opportunity to learn as a family and enjoy the open air of the various workshops," said José Guillén. .

In this way, Murcia and Blanca (where this event will also take place from March 21 to 24) will host this program that seeks to contribute to the effective incorporation of the Region of Murcia into the Information Society, making known the new existing ICT technologies.

Initiatives and available electronic services that are provided by regional institutions are also disseminated.

These workshops are aimed at the general public, children, youth and families, wanting to attract especially the elderly.

In total nine workshops will be developed that are the following:

Workshop of Virtual Reality and augmented reality '

Workshop of 'Audiovisual techniques: travel in time, cheer up and put your voice'

Workshop of 'Creation of digital sounds'

Workshop 'Holographic Techniques'

Workshop of 'Smart home.

Domotics and artificial intelligence '
