A hundred activities make up the programming until June of the municipal auditoriums (19/02/2019)

The municipal auditoriums already have a new program that will run until June

The Councilor for Economic Promotion, Culture and European Programs, Jesus Pacheco, explained that "the City of Murcia puts at the disposal of Murcia 1,400 seats in the network of Municipal Auditoriums, located in the hamlets of La Alberca, Algezares, Beniaján, Cabezo of Torres and Guadalupe, from which they will be able to enjoy a wide and varied program directed to different sectors of the population that includes in a habitual way theater, music, dance, magic, humor, circus ... As they are very versatile spaces, they are the receptacle ideal for performing arts of small and medium format, recordings of various kinds, film screenings ... "

Pacheco added that "the programs developed from the municipal auditoriums of the City of Murcia try to be clear about the relationship that should exist between artistic and cultural activities with the way they are transmitted to society, while deepening with the community of artists in the need to contribute to their work processes elements that give social value to the artistic languages ​​they use ".

For this season, the municipal auditoriums offer a total of 100 shows, of which 80 will be represented by entities from Murcia.

Thus, in this offer has tried to cover different artistic genres, theater, dance, humor, family shows, music ... And it has also tried to reach all sectors of the public, with shows ranging from babies to adults, passing for families, young people ...

Music

The musical activities occupy a very prominent place in the programming of the auditoriums, with 32% of the total offering musical shows of the most varied: folklore, flamenco, classical, lyric, singer-songwriters ... etc.

Highlights, among others, the following activities:

- Cycle of concerts at the Conservatory of Music of Murcia: Different formations of the Conservatory will pass through the auditoriums: string orchestras, flute orchestras, symphonic orchestra, sax forum, metal orchestra, etc.

- VI Concurso de cante Murcia Flamenca: the auditoriums will host the final of this contest.

- Music Bands: The relationship between the Municipal Auditoriums and the Music Bands is ancient and close, as the Cabezo de Torres Band, the Beniaján Band and the Las Musas de Guadalupe perform their activities in these spaces.

Thus, they will offer different festivals and concerts.

- Swing and Jazz Enclave Festival: This program includes the Enclave Jazz and Swing festival around the event of April 30, International Jazz Day, with activities in four auditoriums ranging from the presentation of a jazz record , various workshops, activities and dance exhibitions, jazz and swing concerts and a jazz concert for children.

Within the Festival we will have international figures such as Dan Barret and Enric Peidro Quintet, nationally known as Peter Gun & The paper hats, from Murcia music as Elena Sáenz with her disco scenes and even family-friendly shows such as Bum Band Plash Grove In and open dance activities and in workshop format with Lindy Hop specialists such as Javier Santos.

Theater

The theater supposes 30% of the programming, offering above all, a lot of Murcian theater since the stages will parade companies like El Matadero, Teatro de la Entrega, Enclavados, Alquibla, Amigos del Tenorio ...

In the programming they emphasize comedies like 'What comes my husband', '24 -F ', or' I lower myself in the next ... and you? ';

theater committed to stories such as 'The humiliated days', 'Ronem Ram' or 'Lo Nuestro';

classical theater and great authors with productions such as 'Cyrano', 'Between boobies walks the game', 'Requiem for Lorca', 'Lope that bore you' or 'North';

and some experiments like the one proposed by the 'Children of Mary Shelley' project, which asks authors to write and stage dramatic and autobiographical monologues.

On this occasion, the author and prize Planeta Espido Freyre and with Fernando Marías will be featured in the show 'Tonight we will die'.

This year we must highlight the XVII edition of the Edmundo Chacour Theater Festival that includes shows of various kinds (adult, children ...) and complementary activities such as the celebration of World Theater Day, round tables, voice training course, etc.

Children activities

In this programming a wide repertoire of children and family activities has been included in the program.

This season you can enjoy recommended shows for all age groups from childhood, from babies to 12 years old, with theater, puppets, objects theater ...

Thus, classic titles such as 'Hansel and Gretel', 'The Little Prince', 'The wolf and the seven kids', 'History of a sock', 'Crickets and fireflies', 'Fly Pen' ...

Dance

Spectators can enjoy flamenco shows, contemporary dance, lindy hop and folklore.

Within the dance program highlights the III Spanish Dance Cycle that consolidates a path started two seasons ago with which it is intended to offer quality dance and with a format and price accessible to the citizens of the municipality and have some of the first figures of the national ballet to look for a greater scope and repercussion of the dance in the context of our districts.

The cycle features six dance performances ranging from the most classic flamenco of Maise Márquez with 'Habla la tierra' to the more contemporary of Pol Jiménez with 'Katakana', going through great shows such as 'Relatos' taken to the stage by ballet dancers national.

This cycle has the artistic direction of Angel Manarre and is complemented by six master classes, in charge of the protagonists of the different representations that will be carried out in each of the Auditoriums.

Other activities that will pass this season through the Municipal Auditoriums will be film and documentary screenings, talks, conferences ...:

* Magic shows like Magic Madness or the Great Magic Gala that is part of the XXXVI National Magic Congress.

* Humor shows with monologuists of the stature of Ricardo Castella or Martita de Graná, among others.

* Chirigotas contests

* Circus shows like Seu Te!

of Minimal Acrobatics

* Musical creation of Murcia as Beauty and the Beast and The Addams Family

Collaborations

Another line of work of the audiences are the collaborations, those activities that respond to the objective of collaboration with different entities, associations and groups and the promotion of local events.

In this line of work highlights activities such as:

- Concerts of the Conservatory of Music of Murcia, which will be present in the 5 Auditoriums with different formations.

- Chirigota competitions, in collaboration with different associations, municipal boards and festival commissions.

- Charitable galas of the Conservatory of Dance of Murcia.

- Concerts, meetings and festivals of the music bands.

- End-of-course samples from the workshops of different cultural centers.

- Festivals and other events of Peñas huertanas.

- Support to the productions of different groups such as Alfandarín, Asociación Arte y Lírica XXI, Mucsicalberca, etc.

- Collaboration with different educational institutions.

- Collaborations with the Municipal Boards.

Residences

Residences is a line of work that involves actions to promote artistic production, especially oriented to the scenic projects of the municipality.

With the realization of a residence the access of a company to the requested audience is facilitated so that it retakes, updates, or finishes the accomplishment of its scenic project.

In exchange for facilitating the space for the rehearsals, the infrastructure of the room with its technical staff, the company that has been able to save the expenses of rent and infrastructure, will premiere the work in the Auditorium, or develop any type of activity in interaction with the local community and / or any other agreement agreed between the parties.

The companies that develop their residences in municipal auditoriums during this period are:

- Onírica Mecánica with the Ronem Ram project, speculative fiction about a tired planet.

- The moonfish with the North project, free version of Hamlet

- Silfo Theater with the Pinocho project

- Pol Jiménez with the Katakana project, a contemporary Spanish dance project based on the film Kill Bill by Quentin Tarantino.

In addition to these, there are collaborations that have a marked educational character and that will also take place this season in Municipal Auditoriums such as the following:

- The IES José Planes and the IES of Beniaján, with which they collaborate in the production of two musicals

- The collaboration for the staging of the new work by Severo Ochoa of the PERCUSEVE group with the work @ritmo de golpes

- Collaboration with the Festival of the Performing Arts project, promoted by the IES de Alquerías and that includes the Severo Ochoa Teaching Cooperative and the IES Beniaján

Tickets

In general, tickets will cost 4 euros for adult shows and 3 euros for children 3 euros.

The exceptions are constituted by those shows organized by companies or entities that use the cession of the auditoriums for the representation of their shows.

Tickets are sold at www.enclavecultura.com and www.entradasatualcance.com, while at the box office they can be purchased two hours before each show at the box office of each of the Auditoriums.

Year 2018

During 2018 the Municipal Auditoriums offered a total of 421 events, of which 220 correspond to the own programming of these spaces and 201 correspond to assignments of space for the organization of activities by other entities.

A total of 81,316 spectators participated in the activities of the Municipal Auditoriums during the year 2018, which represents an increase of more than 10% over the previous year.

Of this figure, the attendance was distributed in 42,502 spectators in assignments of the spaces of the 5 Auditoriums and 38,814 in own activities.

This represents a percentage of public of 52.26% in uses made by entities outside the City of Murcia.
