The District Board of Santa Maria de Gracia-San Antonio presiding over the Citizens' Chair, Antonio Albaladejo, has organized, in collaboration with the association Murcia en Bici and the company Bicycles Naga, a course to learn to ride a bicycle in Murcia secure form, which will take place on Sundays February 17, March 10 and 24, from 10.30 am to 1.30 pm.
These days will consist of a theoretical part that will be taught at the municipal headquarters of the Board;
and another practice, with groups of 4 or 5 people, established in two itineraries: one short and closed, so that beginner cyclists learn to perform and signal correctly maneuvers and basic turns;
and another long one through the city, from the neighborhood of Santa María de Gracia to the southern part of the municipality, with a complete route by bike lanes, cycle lanes, road, roundabouts and crossings.
"The objective of these days is to offer an opportunity for beginners to acquire skills and gradually remove the fear of traveling around the city by bike," said the president of the District Board, who noted that " There are many people who want to use this means of transport in their urban journeys but have some insecurity and ignorance. "
"To participate in these days, explained Albaladejo," it is necessary to register in advance, know how to ride a bike and, in the case of minors, be accompanied by an adult.
