The Murciano Center for Public Opinion Studies (CEMOP), formed by researchers from the University of Murcia, has presented this morning the results of its latest opinion barometer 'Regional Identity of Murcia'.
The presentation was given by professors Ismael Crespo and Juan García Escribano.
From the conclusions drawn from the barometer, highlights that the citizens of the Region of Murcia feels identified with Spain, then with the city or town where he lives and, finally, with Europe.
One in two respondents said that he feels proud of being Murcia.
Regarding aspects of personality, Murcia consider that its most characteristic feature is "being good people", followed by "the way of talking" and "being open and welcoming".
During the day, the CEMOP has advanced some of the projects that will take place from next year with the support of the University of Murcia.
On the one hand, it will make available to researchers all the studies carried out since the year 2000, the date on which CEMOP was created.
On the other hand, it will conduct research on leadership at the municipal level, specifically in Madrid, Barcelona, ​​Malaga and Murcia.
The research developed for the case of Murcia will be carried out through an agreement between the Coordinated Institute and the Office of Transfer of Research Results.
Finally, it has been highlighted that the University of Murcia has been proposed to carry out, through the CEMOP, studies of perception and assessment of the policies carried out in the Region.
