Jacobo Beltrán, Senior Advisor of Grant Thornton, firm of professional services of auditing and business consultancy, technology and innovation, with a presence in more than 135 countries, has analyzed the impact that technology is having on the world of sports.

He has done in the conference 'The creation of value for companies through the digitalization of sport', within the cycle 'University and Business Leadership' organized by the Technological Institute of Murcia (ITM) of the UCAM.

Beltrán has ensured that digitalization processes are revolutionizing sports organizations, as it allows them to analyze their data and generate added value in relations with their sponsors or their followers.

"Digitalisation is advancing by leaps and bounds, today we have Blockchain, a totally innovative technology that allows transactions to be carried out quickly, safely, transparently and without intermediaries, and with this technology a football team can even substitute the traditional membership card for a virtual purse that allows fans to interact with the club, in this way we will better know the specific tastes of the fans and the sponsors will be able to offer products more directly, "he explained.

In fact, the Blockchain or chain of blocks, is having multiple applications in the world of sports, such as ticketing, which allows to end the resale of tickets for its traceability, and provides total transparency, so that the Club can analyze more thoroughly the degree of loyalty of the fans with his team.

The technology, as has been exposed in the day, is also acting as a "factor of integration in sport", in which participation and accessibility have been improved, but also "in other new forms of competition very popular in all the world, such as eSports, that allow millions of people to participate and compete, including people with disabilities.
