Turismo de Murcia Convention Bureau participates once more in the IBTM World of Barcelona with the aim of promoting the city of Murcia as a venue for meetings tourism nationally and internationally.
For this reason, a delegation from the Office of Congresses of Murcia has moved to the city where they have held more than twenty professional meetings with MICE sector operators (meetings incentives, conferences and exhibitions) from Spain, United Kingdom, Portugal, Russia and also the American market.
Among the news that have generated more interest in the sector highlights the imminent opening of the International Airport of the Region of Murcia, scheduled for the month of January, connecting the Region of Murcia with 12 destinations in 3 European countries and to which new ones will be added connections throughout 2019. The connection capabilities from the El Altet airport in Alicante and the new Alvia train service from Madrid that reduces the trip to the capital to 3 and a half hours, have also been valued by the professional organizers of congresses
This new edition of the IBTM World has also allowed to consolidate relations with international agencies such as Helmbriscoe, a world leader in contracting meetings, to advance the internationalization of professional events held in Murcia.
Murcia Convention Bureau has made this Thursday a presentation of Murcia as a MICE destination aimed at professional buyers from Denmark, France, Belgium and Switzerland among other European countries to publicize the advantages of the city in terms of services, accommodation capabilities, infrastructure and singular spaces.
The Fira de Barcelona Gran Vía venue has once again been the venue for the most important trade fair in the world with the participation of some 3,000 attendees from 150 countries and more than 3,500 professional buyers.
