More than forty crimes against property have been clarified
Citizen collaboration has been crucial in the operation
The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia has developed the operation 'Maska2', an investigation aimed at clarifying a considerable number of robberies in homes in Murcia, which has resulted in the arrest of the three members of a criminal group, settled in Los Ramos-Murcia and to which the presumed authorship is attributed, up to now, more than 40 criminal acts.
Effective Prevention of Citizen Security of the Benemérita began the operation when they detected the increase in complaints of thefts in homes in the southern area of ​​Murcia, facts that had generated some social alarm in the population.
The Civil Guards carried out exhaustive technical-ocular inspections in the assaulted homes with the aim of gathering all possible indications about the illicit way of acting and the identity of their perpetrators.
The first investigations allowed to determine that the majority of robberies were committed using force against access to buildings, such as doors and windows.
Once inside, they stole money, jewelry and all kinds of objects that could have an agile exit in the illicit market.
It has been possible to confirm that they acted in a premeditated manner and that they were searching for possible targets, given that they had easy access to the houses, as well as a quick escape if they were detected.
They also studied the routines of the residents with the intention of materializing the theft with greater tranquility.
Parallel to the investigation of the criminal acts that were committed, the agents also established a complex surveillance and enclosure device with the purpose of preventing the commission of more criminal acts and, in its case, to be able to react with greater speed to frustrate its consummation. .
Thanks to the collaboration of citizens, the Civil Guard was alerted of the imminent commission of a robbery in a house in the hamlet of Murcia, Los Ramos, whose owners were not at that time at home.
The assembled device allowed several patrols to appear in the place quickly, where it was found that several neighbors had seen three people flee from a home to which they had accessed by force and had removed a large number of objects from inside it.
Quickly, the Civil Guard established a device of encirclement on the possible itineraries of flight that allowed to locate one of the presumed authors of the robbery in the domicile, that was reduced and stopped.
After the first arrest, the civil guards continued with the investigation in order to identify the remaining members of the criminal group.
The device paid off after the investigations and thanks, again, to the citizen collaboration, the agents managed to identify two more suspects, establishing a broad search device on them.
A violent criminal group
Another fact that is attributed to the dismantled criminal group is a robbery committed in a house in Beniaján-Murcia, where the now arrested, to be surprised by the residents of the house, did not hesitate to cause injuries to the person who surprised them inside the house in order to guarantee his escape.
In his flight and again thanks to the extensive police device, the authors were forced to leave the vehicle to escape, the vehicle being intercepted owned by one of the suspects, at that time recovering the stolen items from the home they had just assaulted.
Shortly after it was located and arrested the second of the members of the criminal group.
One of the numerous devices made during the last few days has paid off by detecting the third member of the criminal group in a mountain area, where it was apparently hidden to avoid detection.
Finally, he has been arrested and brought to justice.
The information obtained during the investigation has allowed the Civil Guard to clarify, so far, a crime of robbery with violence in a house, 36 crimes of burglary with force in housing and several crimes of injury, threats and damage.
The criminal acts have been committed in the localities of the South of Murcia, such as Torreagüera, Los Ramos, Beniaján, Algezares and San José de la Montaña, as well as Alquerías and Zeneta.
Entry in prison of the arrested
The Spanish detainees, aged 26, 28, 40, residents of Murcia and Alcantarilla and with similar criminal records, the effects seized and the proceedings ordered have been made available to the Court of Instruction of Murcia, which has decreed their entry into prison.
