The spokesman for Citizens, Mario Gomez, will demand in the plenary session on Thursday that the possibility of building an athletics track in the eastern part of the municipality from which the different clubs, associations, collectives and neighbors in general can benefit.

"This is a necessary initiative to promote sports on equal terms and that would come to respond to the demands of citizens of this area of ​​Murcia," said Gomez.

Thus, he explained that "the municipality has nine federated clubs, but, curiously, only has a track of athletics municipal title plus the pavilion of El Carmen where activities of this type are developed."

For its part, he continued, "the east of the municipality offers a number of popular races that are very successful and has other groups and athletic clubs, but the nearest track is half an hour by car."

Therefore, the orange training spokesman, in order to offer different sports districts the same as the rest of the city, will propose to study the possibility of building this athletics track and, in the face of budgets for 2019, a budget item is allocated for this purpose.
