The Leisure Police will begin to control the noise levels and closing hours of the bars this Christmas (28/11/2018)

The mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, together with the Councilor for Traffic and Public Safety, Lola Sánchez, presented today the Leisure Police of Murcia, a special group designed to ensure compliance with noise regulations and ensure the rest of The neighbors will start patrolling during the next Christmas holidays, starting tomorrow Thursday.

Service of Police of Leisure will be provided patrols identified with a bracelet of green color with the logo of POLICE OF LEISURE during the Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and vespers of festivities, in the afternoon and evening.

They will begin patrolling during the next holidays and will continue throughout the year.

Its objectives are to make leisure compatible with the quality of life of residents in areas where noise problems are registered.

To do this, they will check the administrative situation of the establishments, as well as inform and raise awareness among those in charge of the premises and the citizens in general with regard to the problem of noise.

They will make noise measurements, they will monitor the closing hours of the premises and the collection of the terraces, as well as the capacity of the premises.

They will collaborate with the municipal technicians according to the regulations, duly attend to all the complaints and claims of the citizens in this matter and intensify the control of the premises in terms of noise pollution.

According to the Map of Noise and Leisure of the Municipality of Murcia have been established as Special Acoustic Protection Areas: University - Alfonso X el Sabio;

San Lorenzo, Santa Eulalia and San Juan;

San Pedro, Santa Catalina and Plaza de las Flores;

Special security device for Christmas
