The PSOE claims aid for those affected by rain damage in Murcia who do not have funds to rehabilitate their homes and businesses (25/11/2018)

As a result of the last heavy rains in the municipality, there have been damages in some homes and businesses, as reported by neighbors and affected neighbors, and this is something that the Municipal Socialist Group has been able to check in situ.

The situation caused by the large water avenues is a constant in the municipality of Murcia and it is not uncommon that each time it rains more or less copious these episodes generate material damage of considerable amount.

Councilwoman Maite Espinosa has focused on what happened, for example, in districts such as Los Ramos and Javalí Viejo with storms that also produced traffic cuts on the B4 road through La Raya.

"We believe that to help affected people who need it the City of Murcia should enable the grant of specific aid in order to undertake raparaciones on their property caused by inclement weather," says the socialist mayor.

For his debate and with the intention of approving it, Espinosa will take a motion to the plenary on Thursday, urging the local government team to assess the damage caused by the heavy rains last week and, with a charge to Contingency Fund, the City Council will open a grant line for those affected who, due to their economic conditions, will be unable to meet the costs of rehabilitating their homes and businesses.
