The University of Murcia presented this morning INNOVAGID, a platform to manage the constitution and management of teacher innovation groups (GID).
The tool has been developed by the Innovation Unit of the UMU, under the Vice-rectorate of Studies, in collaboration with ATICA.
With this line of action, the University of Murcia aims to improve its visibility among the academic community.
In a first phase, the staff will be able to create these groups that, later, will have the option of accessing specific aids to encourage teaching innovation.
The main objectives of the GID are: to generate a real impact on the teaching practice of the University of Murcia, to contribute to ongoing training for the professional development of teachers, and to increase the number of specialists in innovation actions in teaching.
The vice-rector of Studies has made a bet for the future in recent months to promote teaching innovation at the University of Murcia.
To this end, it has launched various initiatives such as the call for teaching innovation projects through virtual teaching, mobile learning, the inverted class or the application of game mechanics to educational environments.
